I am blogging from Hawaii. The last four months have been extremely stressful but seem to be getting much better. After Port Townsend we traveled to Chelan to our condo in February and March. It started out to be a great time but ended up to be one of my worst. I don't wish to explain, only that I hit bottom. Guess the only way to go after that would be up. It has been long and hard but things are seeming to be better. John had his treatment in Reno. It was a very interesting clinic. We both like the doctors and after thousands and thousands of dollars we are hoping for the best. It seems like the treatment is working. John is feeling pretty good these days. He has stopped drinking, which helps on many levels, and is still taking tons of medications. We go back for a following up week in August.
I try to live second by second, minute by minute, hour by hour and day by day. After what I must admit have been my most stressful and difficult two years I am learning not to expect too much but hope for the best.
We are currently in Hawaii visiting with Josh, Becky and Ashley. After no sun for months and months in Washington, it is wonderful to spend time in the sun!
Yesterday John and Josh, while we were at the beach at Hickam, went out in a kayak. I went with John after they got back in. It was windy but fun. After we got home from the beach John and I were able to spend some time alone and go up to the North Shore. I love the North Shore. It was nice to get out together for a little while.
We have been enjoying our time here. The weather is beautiful, of course. It is wonderful to spend time with Ashley as she gets ready to turn four.
This morning the boys were up at 4 am to go deep sea fishing. Windy today so should prove to be an experience for both of them. I am trying to decide if I go to the beach again with Becky and Ashley and her neighbors or stay and relax. I am leaning for relaxing as we have busy days ahead.
It looks SO fabulous; today was a nice day here too(miracle) and we missed you at Book club. We actually timed the weather perfectly for the deck at Katie Downs. I'm glad that you're having a great time, relaxing and enjoying life. You deserve the best, my friend!! Hugs.
